Summary:
Gwinnett Medical Center is setting a new standard of excellence in Healthcare. This position is responsible for supervising a variety of duties pertaining to the retail operations. Major responsibilities include the maintenance of daily food service activities as they relate to the retail operations; the staffing and scheduling of front line associates, and the adherence to departmental policies and procedures. In addition this position is responsible for ensuring that guests are provided with palatable, attractive meals at proper temperatures. Guests' meals meet the department menu specifications; food is prepared and cooked under the highest sanitary conditions. This position ensures that customer relationships are maintained; proper service recovery procedures are utilized as necessary; food and physical safety and sanitation of department is maintained; and that positive and professional working relationships are fostered both intra and interdepartmentally.

Qualifications:
High School diploma (Dietary Manager Certification desired). At least two years of food service supervisory experience. Must know principles of dietetics, food service, production. Cash operation, dining room area, safety and sanitation. Knowledge of nutrition, diet therapy and personnel management helpful. Must be capable of spending entire day walking and/or standing and must work well with others. Must support the Gwinnett Health System vision, mission and goals. At least two years of cooking experience.
