Summary: Provides training and assistance in the Portal for physicians, physician staff and GHS associates accessing the Portal for record completion and record review. Assists external and internal customers to the department needing to obtain copies of medical records or access medical records. May perform other site specific duties such as chart pickup, prep and reanalysis.

Responsibilities:

- High school graduate or equivalent required

- One year experience in a Medical Record Department required; credentials in health information management preferred

- Excellent, demonstratable oral communication skills required

- Good written comunication skills required

- Excellent, demonstratable customer service skills required

- Must have a sense of responsibility, professionalism, empathy and a commitment to customer service

- Must be able to work calmly and rationally in stressful situations and with more than one customer at a time

- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including proficiency on a PC

- Must be able to solicit cooperation to meet customer needs from other associates or from organizations outside GHS, when required.
