Role: Partner, Gwinnett Emergency Specialists; Secretary, CME Coordinator, Department of Emergency Medicine; Subspecialty Coordinator, Adult Emergency Medicine Rotation
What brought you here: My husband and I moved from Washington, D.C. in 1982. I practiced emergency medicine in the Atlanta area between Northlake and Northside Hospitals while my children were young. I chose to pursue a full-time position and partnership after my youngest child was born and I returned from maternity leave.
What people don't know about you: I love to travel and learn languages! I am continuing to perfect my French through Alliance Francaise classes.
Other information: I have been married for 27 years to my husband who is also an emergency physician. We have learned and worked hard to happily integrate our lives and practices. We have three children. Our oldest is 25 with a degree from Princeton University in politics with an emphasis on international relations and a certificate in French. She now lives in Washington, D.C. and works with an international development firm. I try to follow her around the globe.
Our younger daughter is 22 and is a senior graduating from Vanderbilt University. She is pre-med and very interested in public health. My husband and I have traveled with her and Vanderbilt University students during spring break medical missions and public health initiatives through Global Brigades. Our son is 17 and a senior in high school.
